Chef and Owner Noah Stephens opened Vert Kitchen in February 2009.
From an early age he had always loved good food and to cook. After graduating from the University of Denver in 2005 he worked as a private chef for a local family and with CorePower Yoga’s first nutrition program. It is here that he learned the importance of healthy eating and using local and organic foods. The following year he moved to France to attend L'École Supérieur de la Cuisine Française where he focused on french food, wine, and cooking techniques. Noah was constantly sampling food and absorbing French culture by eating in the best kitchens in Paris.
After completing school, Noah spent the Fall season studying under Daniel Rose of Spring in Paris. Spring is a small restaurant where the menu changes daily, and they focus on the use of seasonal ingredients and the freshest products from local Parisian markets.As autumn drew to a close, Noah returned to his home state of Minnesota and worked in several Minneapolis restaurants before moving to Denver. He purchased a small building in West Wash Park on South Pearl Street where Vert Kitchen was born.
Vert combines recipes from his european travels, love for good food, classic french skills, and back-to-basics techniques. Noah only serves the best ingredients he can find to provide a unique, and excellent culinary experience. Bon appétit!
